About us

Advocating for Justice with the Support of Emily Simpson

At The Innocence Center (TIC), we are driven by our three-part mission: to correct wrongful convictions, educate the public on the causes of wrongful convictions, and assist our clients as they reenter society. Based in San Diego, TIC is an independent non-profit law firm that has proudly secured the freedom of 43 individuals who were wrongfully imprisoned. Our dedicated team of seven professionals works tirelessly to uncover new evidence, challenge unjust convictions, and restore hope to families affected by the miscarriage of justice.

Our efforts received an exciting spotlight recently, thanks to the popular reality show, The Real Housewives of Orange County. We were honored to be featured in an episode, where our mission and our work took center stage. This remarkable opportunity was made possible by none other than Emily Simpson, a dedicated supporter and ambassador of The Innocence Center.

Emily, an attorney herself, has long been passionate about justice and legal reform. Her involvement with TIC goes beyond just raising awareness. She has become a vocal advocate for our cause, helping to connect us with new supporters and spread the message about the importance of fighting wrongful convictions. As a high-profile figure, Emily’s platform has been instrumental in amplifying our voice, bringing attention to the crucial need for reform in the criminal justice system.

In her role as ambassador, Emily has actively engaged in events and initiatives that support our mission. Her passion and commitment to righting these wrongs have inspired her fans and the broader public to take action and join the movement for justice. Through her advocacy, more people are becoming aware of the devastating consequences of wrongful convictions and how they can help bring about change.

The episode on *The Real Housewives of Orange County* offered viewers an intimate look into the work we do at The Innocence Center. It highlighted our relentless pursuit of justice, from our collaboration with forensic experts to our partnerships with organizations that help provide the necessary resources for case reviews. It also underscored the emotional toll these cases take on both the individuals we fight for and their families, making it clear just how important this work is.

With Emily Simpson’s support, The Innocence Center is expanding its reach, gaining attention from audiences who may not have been familiar with the fight for the wrongfully convicted. Her advocacy strengthens our ability to continue providing free legal representation to those who have been failed by the justice system.

We are incredibly grateful for Emily’s support and are proud to have her as part of our team. Together, we are continuing to push for justice, ensuring that the innocent are not forgotten.
